I have left this blog since a long time...because mostly I use another blog site and I like there more.
This term is the last term of my college life ^_^y I cannot wait to finish it and start my new life. I will leave my hometown Chiayi, and move to a south city, maybe Tainan or Kaohsiung. I will see where I can find a job first. And the most important thing for me is that my boyfriend is coming in July again to Taiwan. This would be his third time to be in Taiwan. I really hope that he can stay here but he has to go back to Austria to finish study. Long distance relationship is really difficult but it does work in our case. We have been together for more than 2 years and everything is getting better and better. Now our goal is to finish studying as soon as possible and then we can live together without the damn distance.

IT SUCKS
After the last day of midterm exam, I feel so down. Why, why can't I study now as harder as I did in school!? I really hate myself of being so lazy for the most of time since I am in university. I always do not want to study or prepare anything for the courses seriously after classes. I spend most of my time on something like watching TV, sleeping, and surfing the internet if I have the free time. And I only start to study one day before the exams. So I bet I will fail in many subjects this semester. Damn I really do not want to be late for graduating from the university because I have so many plans which I want to realize after that! But now it seems will be ruined by the late of graduate time. It sucks!!!!!!!!!!!! I know that I cannot complain it to anyone... I DESERVE IT. Yeah it is all my fault...

happiness
Today my parents and I went to Tainan to visit my grandparents. When I was there I suddenly realized something - how lucky I am. Even it is just ordinary life, I can feel that I am surrounded by people I love and who love me. How can I request more than this?! They give me so much love, consideration, and encouragement. I totally realized how stupid I was. I wanted to have something so much, but everything seems just did not go as well as I wish. I was so depressed. But how could I? Now I think that was nothing but a piece of shit. I should look the reality and cherish it. That's all I have to do.

travel changes a person
As someone said "Travel changes a person". I totally agree with that. I know til now I do not have so many experiences of traveling abroad, but I can feel that my mind is changing through my journey in Australia. No matter the beautiful landscapes, the streets, the local people, and so many things I saw in person - all change me. I think my mind is more open than before, I can be more patient, more tolerant, more independent, have more courage to face every challenge, and maybe more thoughtful for other people. I also realized that college work is important but not all my life in such young age as I am. I will study but I will not take it too serious as I would. I think I should not give myself so much pressure. People lives for enjoying life, not for having stress, doesn't it?! During I was in Australia I saw people from around the world enjoy their life, and the Aussie way of life, all of them are so relaxing. And do what they want to - that is what I really want. I am really happy that I have done this trip by myself, because of this I learned a lot, saw/prepared everything more carefully, because no one would do that for me, and being much more independent, although I feel lonely sometimes but it is still wonderful that I really admire myself so much. This is my first time abroad, and travel alone, in my 21 years old, I realised one of my dreams ^____^ I also realized an important thing - east or west, home is the best. When I had never stepped out of my home, I had never thought of this, and now I totally agree with this sentence. There is no place in the world which can replace my lovely home and Taiwan ^^

Byron Bay
What can I say?! I totally love this place so much! I think it is the best place in Australia so far. There are not so many people/tourists on the beach. So it looks very clean and beautiful. The sand is so white and just like sugar!!! I spent almost all day sat there and watched people, sea, and read books. And there are a few Asians here, not like other big cities. And I think people are quite friendly to me. When I just arrived here and looked my map, some guys came to ask me if I need help ^^ Oh I think the next 3 days I will do the same thing - go to beach. Maybe these will be the most relaxing time in my life -_- I suddenly think of the damn university works~ *sigh*

living in my dream
Sometime I suddenly cannot believe I am in Australia now. It is the third day of my oz trip. I feel like I am dreaming. But it is not, it is totally true. Maybe some people would say, come one! just go abroad, there is nothing to be so excited because of this! No. I think those people who go abroad often or study abroad cannot understand what I feel now. I have been thinking about traveling abroad since I was 15 or 16. And every time when I made my plan, my parents always stop me because of some unreasonable stupid reasons. BUT, it finally came true this time!!! And I even come here by myself!!! I really cannot believe how excited I was when the airplane was taking off in Taipei and landing in Brisbane. Although there is something bad happened in the begining of my trip. I think I will do my best to overcome it. It is a bit weird that I do not feel any culture shock in Australia. I heard people always say when you go to a western country you will definitely get culture shock. I do not. I guess it is because there are too many Asians here. And Brisbane looks like Taipei, no wonder I read someone wrote Brisbane is called "another Taipei" because there are tons of Taiwanese young people come here for working holidays. I was thinking about to do the same after university, but now I changed my mind, I think I do not that like Australia as I thought. Maybe it is because I have been here for only 3 days. Perhaps I will discover more about Australia in the coming weeks. Who knows. I have not spoken any Chinese since I am here, although I heard many people speak chinese around me. Ah, it is so true - Chinese everywhere!

2009
Wow it is the first day of 2009!
I hope this new year will be just fine~
no more trouble and something regret happen anymore
*sigh*
2008 was a year that changed my life...
Once I thought I could go to Austria, but then I passed the goddamn transfer test so I couldn't go! And I lost contact with 2 good friends in 2008. How sad is it... This is just life. I cannot against the damn truth at all. T___T However, I also met a very good friend through the internet in 2008 ^^ I really think I am so lucky!!!
Anyway I will work hard to save some money for my summer trip in 2009 and I will also study hard so that I will graduate from the university on time in 2011. As I have so many plans want to do after university, I will do my greatest effort to reach my goal.
Oh and my first trip in 2009 is Australia, which has only 2 weeks left from now!!! Awww~~~ I am getting nervous... everybody said I must be crazy to travel alone without the experience of go abroad *_* But I really want to challenge myself!!! What will it be? What people will I meet during the trip? How is the feeling that travel alone without a person to talk to?! These are what I wanna know. And I think I will be just fine as long as I planned well for this trip! I know there are many people who travel alone, so I think I can do it too. I will see what will happen then...!!!
Go Go Go!!! ^________^

the memory
Today I started cleaning my terrible messy room (finally!) because my mom always nag at me with this. I spent almost 5 hours to celect all garbage together!!! I found that there are so many stuff which I used in my primary schools and high school, such as test papers, notes(I passed them to chat with classmates in the class), the pencil case, the schoolwork books, and the love letter which wrote by my first boyfriend. These stuff makes me think of those days when I was young. It was so pure that I could be happy because of a little slight thing, like to have a box of candy, got a good grade on math(it did happened only in primary school), saw a rainbow after raining, learned how to ride my little bike, had a crush on a boy who sat next to me, caught some dragonflies and butterflies in the park with my sister near our house, the first time to take a train to visit my relative...and so on. Time can change a person. People's mind is getting complicated because of many things around them, isn't it? I wish I could back to those days...

Ich bin 21!!!
Oh my god.
I just turned to be 21 years old a few days ago. I cannot believe I am over 20 now! When I was at teen age, i thought 20 is such an old age and it would be far away from me. Ahhh, time goes so fast...!!! lol I got many wishes, hope that at least some of them will come true...^^
There are only 42 days left before I fly to Australia. OHH I CAN'T WAIT!!! I am going to transit in Singapore, and will stay there for several hours to tour the city. It will be interesting I think. My route is: Taipei - Singapore - Brisbane - Gold Coast - Byron Bay - Sydney - Melbourne - Singapore - Taipei!!! I can't wait to be there with the sunny beaches ^o^ I am so sick of winter here.

still thinking...
Until recent days, I am still thinking if I made the right decision, didn't I?
I read some friend's blog who are in their exchange year in Austria. It makes me feel so sad and a bit remorseful. I should be in Austria now if I followed the original plan...but I didn't. I might miss the best chance in my life (Who knows!?). I have no choice and can't regret. Actually I souldn't feel like this because everybody told me I am the luckiest one, I am a national university student now...which was I never dream about. Parents and friends told me I still have many chances to travel abroad, in summer/winter vacations. But I know it is quite different between these. Staying abroad for a year can let people get to know the real local life and culture - not just like a tourist. I understand that I miss the chance and will never get it back...*sigh*

Sunny Kenting!

Last week I went to a town next to a beach called Kenting (the south part of Taiwan) with my good friend. It is a popular tourist spot. I felt so relax and happy during the 3 days there! But my skin became tan after that lol Oh NOOOOO!
Anyway, I feel much better now. I was in a very bad mood since I made the damn tough decision of giving up Austria T_T But I think the decision is the correct one. If I did't do it then I am sure I will regret in the future.
Dreams will come true in the future. It only needs some time to reach... someone told me so.
And I believe so.

my summer days
There are only 56 days left before I fly to Austria! I can't believe... time flies! Everything still seems like a dream. I thought that study abroad is just a dream that I will never realize. Now it is coming true in 2 months! How unbelievable!
Anyway, I am on summer holidays recently. I am used to being lazy everyday. I sleep well... and of course eat well LOL I plan to start swimming next week and review my German. Oh how much I forget?! I have not studied it since my vacation started! (-_-) This Sunday I will go to beach with my best friend Q for 2 days. OMG I am so looking forward to seeing the beautiful blue sea! I hope that damn typhoon won't ruin my trip!!! (>_<)

study in Austria
I took the test of exchange student in Austria in March. I passed it! That means I'll study in Austria from this September to August 2009. I'm so happy 'cause it is one of my dreams to study abroad! Especially in Europe!!! On the other side, I'm worried about that I have to leave my family for such a long time. I've never did it before. I think I'll get homesick then. Anyway, I hope I can improve my German and English ability by studying there. Especially German. I think I'm VERY interested in German. It is a quite interesting&useful language although it is very difficult to learn. Its grammar is totally different with English and Chinese! Beside, I have some good friends from Germany and Austria. I'm so looking forward to visiting them^.^ I also want to go skiing there in winter...!!! I've never seen snow. And I can travel to Germany and other european countries during holidays!!! That would be cooooool~!

recently
I haven't been post anything here for a while..anyway, just too lazy, and yeah, nothing special to tell.
In fact, being a college student is not as interesting and relax as i thought. We have a lot of courses to take. Perhaps it only happens in the first grade...who knows. I made some new friends as well. Most of them are really nice to get along with. But some of them are not. Anyway, I always try to like everyone. I don't like to hate people or something.
I live in the dorm, and I go back home once a week. But I think it's not enough... I really missed my family. Ahh..but I know I have to learn to be more independent...
Besides, the uni located countryside. Nothing around here, no shopping, no films, no bookstores! Living here is REALLY boring. I still can't get used to that... :-(
This is my roommate, Ivy, and I.

The views of my uni.

quit
I quit my part-time job, because university will start soon! And I'll move to another city too. That's really sad...I can't often chat with my parents after school. I really like to share with them what happened in my day, and they always give me suggestions.
Anyway, I hope everything will be alright after the term start. I hope I had friendly roommates as well.

Ghost Festival
It was the Ghost Festival yesterday.
We prepared ritualistic food offerings:
burning of hell money:

The Ghost Festival is a traditional Taiwanese festival and holiday, which is celebrated by Chinese in many countries. In the Chinese calendar (a lunisolar calendar), the Ghost Festival is on the 14th night of the seventh lunar month.
In Chinese tradition, the thirteen day of the seventh month in the lunar calendar [Buddhist rituals are held on the fourteen day] is called Ghost Day and the seventh month in general is regarded as the Ghost Month, in which ghosts and spirits, including those of the deceased ancestors, come out from the lower world. During the Qingming Festival the living descendants pay homage to their ancestors and on Ghost Day the deceased visit the living. On the thirteen day the three realms of Heaven, Hell and the realm of the living are open and the Taoists and Buddhists would perform rituals to transmute and absolve the sufferings of the deceased. Intrinsic to the Ghost Month is ancestor worship, where traditionally the filial piety of descendants extends to their ancestors even after their deaths. Activities during the month would include preparing ritualistic food offerings, burning of hell money and bags containing cloth for the visiting spirits of the ancestors. Elaborate meals would be served with empty seats for each of the deceased in the family treating the deceased as if they are still living. Other festivities may include, burying and releasing miniature paper boats and lanterns on water, which signifies giving directions to the lost ghosts and spirits of the ancestors and other deities.
The Ghost Festival shares some similarities with the predominantly Mexican observance of El Día de los Muertos. Due to theme of ghosts and spirits, the festival is sometimes also known as the Chinese Halloween, though many have debated the difference between the two.

Haha
I took the other kind of university entrance exam on February 1st. And 1 week ago I got the result. It is cool! I got a nice grade! I think maybe I can get a university to attend without taking the college entrance on May. Awesome!! I can't believe my eyes... LOL But I can't chose German as major if I decide to go to any of it for some reasons(that's kinda sad>_<). And I have to take the second stage of the entrance, that is: interview. I am very nervous about it...I hope it will be fine.
I applied for 5 universities and 3 majors to try: Law, Comparative Education, and Engish(Translation). The one that I most want to attend to is Comparative Education. It can be a teacher or something like that after graduate.
Anyway, good luck for me! Hehe~

stupid
I've been thinking this problem...
I've got many friends from other countries, I can use basic words to communicate with them by writing letter or typing on msn.
BUT, it sounds funny, I bet I can't talk to them by speaking "fluent" English. Even just simple words. My English speaking sucks. And I'm afraid to speak to "foreigners" in person. That's really stupid I know, and I know I HAVE TO overcome it, or it's no use to study english for nearly 10 years! What can I do if I still keep that when I travel oversea?! Oh... I feel SO nervous once I think of it!!
People said: Practice make perfect. Yeah, right. It's easy to say than do....
